Gimme an S
Our bathroom window is.. how do you put it, well it has a broken surface (intentional), some kind of relief pattern, so you can't see through it clearly. Moving on, looking through it I wondered about how both of our neighbours manage to dry a lot of white sheets at the same time, until my sleepy head realized that the "white sheets" in the middle must be our lawn and the roof of our shed. Then I realized it must be snow.
And snow t'was.
We're having a friend from school over for lunch today (a young British lady), let's hope she hasn't run into too many problems with her bus and train. Britain usually doesn't take snow very well.

Wet Wet Wet
How horrible. Gaming and preparations for Christmas almost alienates me from the internet.
The web should really try harder.
Looks like there won't be a white Christmas in Southern Finland this year :< There's some hope on Wednesday and Thursday, but after that it's warming up again. Bleh.
After that you can only hope for a white new year instead.
Okay, let's think about something happier.
Like pink text.
That made my day!

I Can't Come Up With A Title (Dragons Ate My Hard Drive Space)
I have a new addition to The List to announce! I have known it for some time, and just yesterday fully realized that I'll need an external hard drive to relieve my computer from some of the stuff that is clogging it up. The important part is that i want the hard drive to be small, handy and portable, it doesn't need to be a five terabyte monster.
----------
The Wishlist (updated!!!):
Essential, serious stuff:
Stick blender
Stavmixer
Sauvasekoitin

Crisp rye-bread

Can opener
Konservöppnare
Purkinavaaja
Konservöppnare
Purkinavaaja

The normal, sane, cheap version. I'm sorry Brits, but you've got this all wrong.
Or then I'm just too simple-minded for the fancier versions.
Pot (ha ha, very funny.)
Gryta
Pata
Might once again be better with money, quite heavy to take on the plane.
Cash
Fyrk
Mammonaa

Money for artist's materials (going to order markers online)
Pengar för konstnärsmaterial (tänker beställa tuscher på nätet)
Raha taiteilijantarvikkeita varten (tilaan netin kautta)
For messing around on paper.
Nice, sharp, big kitchen knife
Trevlig, vass stor kökskniv (eller förskärare)
Mukava, terävä, iso keittiöveitsi
Trevlig, vass stor kökskniv (eller förskärare)
Mukava, terävä, iso keittiöveitsi
Needn't be that fancy, but preferably one that actually functions properly.
The set of knives we bought isn't the best thing that has happened to us.
The knives are whetted so that the edge is askew, in a way we're not used to have knives,
so we find them really hard to use. What I'm trying to say is that in order to
cut something straight, you have to hold the knife at a strange angle.
We don't like that. The big knife from the set is impossible to cut harder things,
such as potatoes or carrots with.

Would be nice to be able to drink some back in England even after christmas. . .
Last but not least:
Would be nice to get some visiting relatives and family members here
to fill the fridge with nice expensive stuff such as cheese, meat, cake,
chocolate pudding, cheese, meat and pastries.
(Of course it would be nice to show other parts of the house also.
If lucky, I might even show something else than the supermarkets over here!)

E-Codes and Gelatin Coated With Shellac Equals Happiness
My Londonish Quest For Selfridgean Jelly Beans was successful! There was about 50 different tastes, so now I have Jelly Beans that taste like everything from Butter Popcorn and Toasted Marshmallow to Strawberry Daiquiri and Cinnamon. I also have Lemon Lime, Blueberry, Piña Colada and many many more! Tastes I didn't pick included Cappuccino and Caffe Latte. Anyone seeing a pattern there?
Look at all those colours!
Now it's dinnertime. Last dinner with our guests (for now). Sailor's Beef (a kind of beef casserole) and cheesecake on the menu. Served with red wine (and some salad).

Incorrectly Assembled
My new desk did, as I said, arrive yesterday. What still baffles me with IKEA is how they can manage to text me notifications about the delivery, stating that they will call an hour before delivery, but still be incapable of actually calling me on the very same number they've texted to. So I never recieved a call on the delivery day, the truck just appeared, delivered and went. The desk was slightly bigger than I'd expected. That was probably my own mistake. Still, it's better that it's slightly bigger than smaller. It even fits in the room, WOOOP! I'll post pictures of the refurnished room as soon as I've tidied it up, and moved the desk-stuff to the desk and drawers.
Speaking of drawers, as I assembled the drawer unit that came with my desk I learnt how IKEA-drawers work. At least the ones of this particular kind. Turns out the bigger (pretty much broken) drawer that already was in the room when we moved in had been incorrectly assembled, and that's why it didn't work properly. It has, apparently, been assembled by someone who's, let me guess, too manly to read the instructions, and had put some screws in from the wrong side with raw strength, screwing up the poor piece of furniture. Or then someone in the house was a papyovore, and ate the instructions.
Today I drew this beautiful animation from start to finish. I'm evolving, I think. Soon I'm a level 3 animator. Only 34 experience points to go. (Ha, ha, ha)

Don't watch too much television. Although no one knows what kinds of powers Slugman over there possesses yet. Marvel as he leaves a slimy trail! Baffle at his soft skin! Be amazed by his portable TV!
Today we got our heating turned on, WHUPPAHEY! I had already forgotten that it's possible to survive indoors without triple sweaters. The difference between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius is rather significant, I can tell you.
Tomorrow we'll have our first exhibition at our school. Everyone is going to put work to display. I'll show my animations and some plasticine figures there. Maybe I should take pictures of the installation and post them here afterwards? I'll have to sit in our studio guarding my computer, on which I'll display the animations.
This is starting to be a formidable wall of text here, I think. Maybe it will suffice for today?
Of course it will. Don't be silly.
I really love the heating.
