Runeberg

Well well, Runeberg's day (Finnish national poet) came and went (5.2) and, as always with celebrations that give you an excuse to make something nice to eat, we seized the opportunity and baked some Runeberg's Tarts:

Who could say no to something with both icing and jam?

 Quack quack!

The greenhouse (space between curtains and window in living room) has started to show some signs of life! How unexpected.

Cress in a hurry.

Alas, the weekend is drawing near. Tonight is there is indian food on the menu. Homebaked naan-bread, homemade raita/tzatziki, home-marinated chicken pieces . . .

Minimal

Our gardener isn't a fictional being after all! When I got home today both the front and the back lawn had been mowed! It somehow makes me so happy! Lawnmower is a nice word. When I was little, I always read lawnmover, and didn't even realize what it was until I learned what a lawn was. I just thought it was something you moved lawns, whatever they were, around with. It is funny how you somethimes misread and misinterpret words. Every now and then I mishear words in songs, and then when I for some reason or another look up the lyrics, or happen to realize what the misheard word really is, I get quite surprised, because sometimes it can change the meaning of the whole song.

My gaming fingers are starting to itch. I've promised myself that after I've finished my essay I'm allowed to start playing something big and epic. My goal is to finish tomorrow. I have 900 words now, a couple hundred of which are to be the so called final version of the text. The rest is random, unstructured facts. Unprocessed raw matter. Tomorrow I will process this matter into a finished, academic product รก la Essay on Minimalism, complete with an introduction and a conclusion. Actually it's a lot easier than just Minimalism. It's about how minimal artworks were considered, no, theorized as objects in the 1960s. It's quite narrowed down, actually.

And that's good.

Delicious Food. Yum.

We got treated by longhaired roomie's mother, and ate out tonight. I haven't eaten out since I moved away from Finland, and it was Absolutely Delicious. Thank you very much!

Tomorrow: Pics from Margate!
