There's not really that much exciting going on. . . school, cooking, laundering, school, cooking laundering. . . oh yeah, and occasional eating too, actually! 

 

Iron Gal

 Got me some iron supplements. Soon I'll have to start oiling my joints regularly so that the creaking won't drive the Roomies mad. Speaking of that the toilet door here is extremely creaky. The slower you open it the louder and "rumblier" it sounds.

On a completely unrelated note, it's Mother's Day today here in the UK (in Finland it's in May). So mom, have a picture of one of our homemade danish pastries from yesterday!

 

I'm almost sure this particular specimen was digested yesterday. . .

I assure you they taste as good as they look, in my humble opinion.

Gotta Try Forests In Every New Medium

Here are some results from my second go at screenprinting, three different versions:

I think they turned out okay, would be nice to do some additional colours at some point, such as blue and brown. . . There's six layers in total, so I'm rather surprised I actually got them to line up nicely on most prints.

Time

Time is just flying by. Yesterday we spent the whole day in London, having a good look at the Science Museum and especially the natural history museum (so many cute animals and skeletons!). My camera's battery died after one shot, so I'll upload some of the photos Roomie took a bit later.

Tomorrow I'll have my first go at doing Danish Pastries (Wienerbröd), I heard making the dough is . . . hard to say the least. Well, I kind of enjoy challenging myself in the kitchen, and seeing as there's still going to be raspberry jam and custard on them I think they'll be edible.

Finnish Friend will come over tomorrow, and then we'll all go to London on Thursday to visit museums and galleries, yay! This basically means that we got a reason to cook something delicious for dinner tomorrow, yes!
