Chunks

Yesterday my group did stop-motion animations at school, my group of three had really fun (I think?). We used clay and our artistic minds. The result was beautiful.

Another thing that's really beautiful and wonderful is freshly baked cinnamon buns.

The fresh yeast worked very well:

Very, very well!

These are proper buns with cardamom in the dough. Haven't really run into what I call real buns anywhere except Finland and Sweden. I claim that warm, oven-fresh buns together with a glass of milk is one of the best inventions of mankind.

The day before yesterday me and my roomie went to a store that specializes in frozen foods. They have practically anything you can imagine in frozen form, except berries. Everything from little smiley faces made of what I assume is deep fried mashed potato (I was trying to look for regular pommes noisettes.)

Eat them before they eat you.

to The 75 Piece Chicken Platter:

The image is small, but the text says it all: 20 Plain breaded chunks,
20 southern fried breaded chunks, 20 cheesy breaded chunks,
15 hot & spicy breaded strips.

I like how it consists solely of chunks and strips.

And today, creamy fish soup was on the menu. Mmm.

Tlöööött

Really really sleepy, so let's pretend tomorrow's post is today's.. or both today's and tomorrow's... All right. I'll just say I aim to write about today's themes tomorrow instead of today.

Because I'm sleepy.

Bones On A Table

I built a spine out of paper, masking tape and gesso for my current task.

The task is to create a huge .. err.. piece of art. And I suppose we're to experiment and act outside of our comfort zones. Well, I'm definitely doing that with my piece, and it's quite fun, actually. Deadline's upcoming thursday.

Today's lecture also felt quite a lot easier to follow already. Now I just need to learn to write faster.

I really like the fellow on the sketch, and feel like he should have a name. But I just can't come up with one that's quite cute enough.

Story Of My Pie

We had some leftover vanilla cream from the afternoon tea a week ago, so I and my fellow roomie embarked on a noble quest to eat it.

And the only proper way of eating vanilla cream is to eat it with pie.

It was jolly good.

The Cougher

( Look, a visitor from the future! Say hello to Mr Ghostly Rhino!)

We had friends over from London (well, and fellow Canterbury-dweller as well). We ate delicious dinner (guess who was the cook).

I asked my roomies about what I should write today. the other one said that I should write that I'm ugly and smell bad.

I'm ugly and I smell bad.

Moving on. The remaining roomie said that I should write something random, artsy, and annoying:

Glorksploitglunk.

This blog post is a piece of art. Art is trA backwards, or more familiarly, just tra. Tra has the ability to become many many things, such as trash, trap and trampoline. That leads us to the very interesting word enilopmart, which means a person who is so lonely that he starts imagining that pieces of furniture look like human beings. A person who does this simply because he's tired, is consequently called an enilopmort. Enilopmarcy is a very serious condition, that should always be taken with utmost gravity. Failing to take the gravity into consideration will with almost absolute certainity have most dire consequences. In the best case, you will weigh twice more in the morning than you would usually expect. On the other hand, it might end as badly as you floating up until you choke or get stabbed by a blind stork.

However, if you would meet such a fate, it might end up being made into a movie.

*snivel*

Yup. Most definitely ill. But, I bought rosehip tea, and guess what? I found the frozen berries, but it's no wonder I didn't see them, since I wasn't expecting them to be tucked away between the ice cream and the frozen desserts. It's especially hard to find them when the packagings for raspberry ice cream, frozen raspberries and raspberry cake-things are almost identical. I also went to a healt check today, everythings fine with me.

Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow, we're expecting friends from London over for dinner.

Naptime

This is the second time I write this post. Blogger just decided that I was logged out, and hadn't saved any recent drafts of it either. Luckily it wasn't a long post to begin with.

I accidentally fell asleep after getting home after school. I think it was a good thing, considering I'm slightly ill, and that my nighttime sleep was interrupted by a huge dizzy wasp, somewhere after 4 a.m. It was buzzing and flying/crawling its way up the wall, and probably falling off a time or two. Luckily it was slow, so it wasn't hard to get out.

Unintended naps are cozy, although a bit confusing.
