Mää-ä

Oh yeah, reminded by Longhaired Roomies blogpost, I realized I entirely forgot to tell you about a rather terrible happening that got a happy ending eventually. One of the students from our year fell seven meters from a tree on his head six weeks ago. He was really badly injured and might have died, but suddenly a couple of days ago he was back at school. And y'know, aside from crutches and a plastered leg, and a bulge on the side of his head (due to a piece of skull that had to be removed, and accumulated liquid), he was his old self. He had been extremely lucky, because the chance of developing some kind of life-long defect from his injury is close to 100%, and with all the tests this far they hadn't found anything strange.

So now he'll pretty much start coming to uni again, he'll get some extended time for all the assessments and the essay deadline. Quite a champion, I'd say. But as he stated, he's probably used up all of his luck, so he better not have any more accidents, or he might be in trouble. Also, he might get an interesting new family heirloom to pass along, that is the removed piece of his skull. Skull bone won't reattrach, so they'll patch it up with something else. In any case that if something is a crazy tale to tell the grandchildren.

Never got a call today, and no one answered in the other end. Assuming it's the same thing again, bad luck. Frustrating.

Tomorrow I'll try to bake macarons and then we'll eat LAMB CHOPS!

    1. Tackar tackar!
