Today's the Finnish independence day. In order to celebrate here is a whole load of doodles!

We managed to watch Linnan Juhlat, the president's official treat with about 2000 guests. It's actually all about watching the different dresses. There are always some quite interesting creations.

Tomorrow I'll show some applicants around at UCA (I get paid for it, yay!)

Hand in day was today. I slept well yesterday. I'm really stuffed. . . with food, that is. Celebrated Finnish Friend's birthday, so we ate tacos and cake. On top of that we even watched a film. What a day!

I Can't Come Up With A Title (Dragons Ate My Hard Drive Space)

I have a new addition to The List to announce! I have known it for some time, and just yesterday fully realized that I'll need an external hard drive to relieve my computer from some of the stuff that is clogging it up. The important part is that i want the hard drive to be small, handy and portable, it doesn't need to be a five terabyte monster.

Needn't be that fancy, but preferably one that actually functions properly.
The set of knives we bought isn't the best thing that has happened to us.
The knives are whetted so that the edge is askew, in a way we're not used to have knives,
so we find them really hard to use. What I'm trying to say is that in order to
cut something straight, you have to hold the knife at a strange angle.
We don't like that. The big knife from the set is impossible to cut harder things,
such as potatoes or carrots with.

It's Friday Friday (sorry)

Weekend at last! Tomorrow I'll finish my essay once and for all, hit the town to buy a pen or two to decorate the christmas cards I've been doing in the printing workshop with! The deadline for the essay is on Monday, so after that I think I'll feel really unburdened and free. Although it starts to be time to scrape the material to the next assessments (both in January) together. It basically means taking everything I've done at uni this far, and a little more, and put it together to a coherent bunch.

Show Pow

Well, there certainly is a worse way to spend an evening than to do it with good food, good wine, good cake, good GLÖGI (or non-alcoholic punch, as Longhaired Roomie told me it's calld in this silly country) and some good company.

I think the show went well, this is the work I was showing off. It's called The Reality of the Bumblebee Boys, and it's actually quite big.

There's quite a lot of things going on there, yes. . .

It's starting to get quite cold. Tomorrow should be sunny but cold (cold over here means about 5 degrees Celsius), thus it's supposed to be cold tonight aswell. I think I might use the warmwater bottle tonight, otherwise I'd probably find it difficult to fall asleep. I have this thing with cold feet, I find it virtually impossible to fall asleep if my feet are cold, so I always have to warm them up in some way before I can stop concentrating on them. There, I said it. My darkest secret.


What? You don't believe it? Okay, I'll tell you another, just so you'll be satisfied and let me go to sleep.

Essay Cake

I actually pretty much finished my essay yesterday, although there is some tweaking left to do. Gotta read through it a couple of times, and complete the bibliography.

Today we have an exhibition again, and after that we'll have wok and cake. Yay! Baking got kind of late yesterday, so I didn't bother to write then. Bwahaha!
